Winter is coming. The little rabbit Kate wakes up and finds that the world is white. She is so happy. She makes a snowman. She gives the snowman two blueberries as his eyes, a carrot as his nose, and a red scarf.
Kate looks at the snowman. He is alive(活着). It’s amazing(惊叹的). The snowman plays with Kate. They run in the snow and have a snowball fight. They are very happy.
Kate is very tired and goes back home. She sleeps next to the fireplace(壁炉). The snowman stands outside the house. Soon, the house is on fire. The snowman runs into the house and saves(救) Kate. Kate is safe, but the snowman melts. There are only two blueberries, a carrot and a red scarf on the ground.
Kate wakes up. She realizes(意识到) what has happened. She is so sad. She cries and cries. The sun comes out. The snow water turns into vapour(蒸汽). The snowman flies up. He says, “Don’t be sad. I’m your friend forever. I will come to see you again!” He flies higher and higher. Kate waves(挥手) goodbye to him.

Sam the dog looks very unhappy, but Kitty does not know what is the matter with him.
“Do you have a cold?” she asks, but Sam does nothing.

Kitty takes Sam to the doctor.
“Doctor, can you help Sam? He’s sick, I think.”
