Jack has a poor family. He and his mother are always kind to everyone.
One windy and cold morning, an old woman asks Jack for some food. Jack has only one small piece of bread, but he gives it to her. That night, a fairy gives Jack a small bean in his dream. He plants the bean in the field. Soon it grows up into the sky! Jack climbs the beanstalk up, up and up…He finds a very big house above the clouds. Inside the big house, he sees a beautiful woman. She gives him a big meal and some gold coins.
Suddenly, a giant comes. He tries to catch Jack. Jack quickly climbs down the beanstalk. The giant is just behind him. A lot of little birds are coming, they want to help Jack. The old woman comes too. She cuts the beanstalk down.
At last, Jack gets those gold coins. Then he and his mother have a happy and rich life.
