Computers are widely used in the world. As students, we can not only use them to relax, but also study online. Do you have any online classes? It is possible to take classes at home. All you need is a computer and an earphone.
However, most students don’t seem to like online classes. Recently, over 3000 students from 10 cities took part in a survey (调查). According to the survey, only about 30 percent of the students like taking such classes.
Many students said it was hard to focus on studying while taking online classes. This was true for Li Jing, 15, at No. 1 High School. “There are no classmates and no real teachers watching me. I can surf the Internet or do other things if I want to. It’s harder to always stay focused (专注的),” she said.
Li Jing prepares a lot before taking her classes to make sure she will keep her attention (注意力). She also pushes herself to communicate with teachers. Students can come up with or answer questions while taking online classes.
Tian Lishan, 14, at No. 7 High School, thinks online interaction (互动) isn’t enough. “The online teachers don’t really get to know me. When I don’t hand in homework, all I get is a short message instead of real concern,” she said.
However, online classes still have advantages (优势). “It saves time and money compared with taking offline classes. Also, if I don’t understand some parts of a lesson, I can watch it over again,” Li Jing said.

Sound from the school bell tells the students and the teachers when to begin or end a class. Music and films also convey the feelings and ideas of the musicians and the directors. Paper Cut
After cleaning up, people will put up paper-cut on the windows and doors before the Spring Festival. Chinese put up the character “fu” on walls, doors around the houses. “Fu” is a custom for Chinese people to express their wishes for a better life. Some people put it upside down to show that blessing has arrived .
Spring Couplet
“The Spring Couplet” (贴春联) is a special form of literature in China. It is put up on both sides of the door. Every family put on the Spring Couplet before the Spring Festival to stand for the hopes for the coming new year.
Family Reunion Dinner
On Chinese New Year’s Eve, the whole family sit at the table to eat together. It is the most sumptuous (豪华的) meal of the year.
Dumpling, is a common Northern Chinese Dish. It is said that the more dumplings you eat, the more money you can make in the New Year. People put coins in some dumplings. The lucky ones who eat coins mean that they will have special luck in the coming year.
