根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。

Nowadays we often work as a team. 1. People want team leaders they can trust. Would you like to be a good leader? Here’s some advice for you.

Ask to know your team.

Learn about each person on your team. You can’t be a successful leader unless you know your team. Be a “learner” instead of a “knower” as you don’t have all the answers. 2.. For example, as you pass someone, you can ask, “Hi! Do you enjoy doing this work?” or “Do you have any ideas about how to do it better?”

Talk to your team.

3.

It’s a good practice to talk actively with everyone on your team. Tell them what you’re thinking about and what new problems you are considering. The more you talk to them, the more comfortable they will feel when they give you their opinions.

4.

Let your team feel you are a good listener. Whenever they have problems at work or at home, listen to what they want to say. Be patient and never trying to interrupt (打断) them. Make your team feel they can talk to you.

阅读并回答下面5个问题,每题答案不超过7个词。

The pirates did not return. It was very hot and unpleasant inside the fort. I had a plan and I needed to leave the fort.

First I ran down to the white rocks and looked for Ben Gunn’s boat. I soon found it under some bushes. As soon as it was dark, I got into the boat and rowed out to the Hispaniola. I found the rope that connected the ship to the anchor and cut through it with my knife until the ship was free.

As I did this, I could hear the angry voices of Israel Hands and another mutineer in a cabin above me.

The ship began to move away in the night air.

By then I was so tired that I fell asleep in the boat when I awoke I found myself at the southwest end of Treasure Island.

I moved slowly to the next bay, and suddenly I saw the Hispaniola in front of me. The wind and the currents were moving the ship. I couldn’t see anyone on it. As soon as I was close enough, I grabbed a rope and climbed onboard.

I soon saw two pirates lying on the deck at the back of the ship. One was dead. The other, Israel Hands, was injured and calling for rum.

I drank the water and give Hands the rum. As he drank it, the color returned to his cheeks.

“I’m taking over this ship, Mr Hands,” I said. “You will treat me as your captain.”

“I imagine,” said Hands, “you want to get ashore. Now you need my help. Give me some food and drink, and something to tie up my wound. Then I’ll tell you how to sail the ship. That’s fair, isn’t it?”

“I want to get to North Inlet.”

Hands agreed to help me. We soon arrived at the North Inlet. Hands was very good at guiding me in and I followed his instructions perfectly. I was working hard on bringing the ship in safely and forgot to watch Hands. When I turned around Hands was standing behind me, his knife ready...

-----Taken from Treasure Island

Look up at the sky in the evening and you’re likely to see the blue sky of the afternoon being changed into a reddish-orange one across the sky. Why does the colour of the sky change at different times of the day? The answer has to do with how the sun’s light and the earth’s atmosphere(大气层)have an effect on each other.

Light travels in waves(波状运动). Every colour we see is decided by the length of those waves. Red wavelengths are the longest, and as you go through the rainbow, the waves get shorter and shorter until you reach the blues and violets, which are the smallest.

As the sun’s light travels towards us, at first all it meets is space without any particles(微粒), such as dust and water droplets. But on earth, there are thousands of particles in the air which are hardly seen. The wavelengths that make it to the earth’s atmosphere hit these particles, which sends light bouncing(反弹) in many different directions.

But not all wavelengths bounce around to the same degree. Blue wavelengths, because of their smaller size, are scattered(散射) more easily and in many directions. Red wavelengths, which are larger, are scattered the least in the air.

During the day, when the light has the shortest distance to travel through the atmosphere, what we end up seeing are the blue waves that have been scattered all across the sky. At the day’s end, though, the light has to travel through much more of the atmosphere, and those short, blue light waves have a hard time getting past all particles. They mostly get scattered away before they ever reach us. The result is that red sky we see at sunset, since longer red wavelengths are still able to pass through the atmosphere.

So when you see a red sky at dusk, just remember that it’s actually the last remaining colour of the whole rainbow.

1.According to the article, the sky changes its colour because ______.
A.the time changes every day
B.the weather is different every day
C.the particles in the atmosphere change the wavelengths of lights
D.the sun’s light and the earth’s atmosphere influence each other
2.Which of the following colours has the longest wavelengths?

3.Why does the sky look blue during the day?
A.Because light meets the dust and water droplets.
B.Because the blue wavelengths scattered all across the sky.
C.Because particles sends light bouncing in different directions.
D.Because the blue light waves have a hard time getting past all particles.
4.When you see a red sky at dusk, it means ______.
A.in the morningB.at noonC.in the eveningD.at night
5.In which subject may students learn the knowledge?
A.Chinese.B.Maths.C.Physics.D.History.
