His draughts are from China. Their names are Fangfang and Lanlan. Bob is not the children’s real(真正的)father, but he loves them very much. The children love their “father”, too. Bob has many toys for the children. He gives different toys to different children. The boys play with the toy cars. The girls play with dolls and toy animals. Bob is the children’s father, and he is their good friend, too.

My name is Mike. I am 12. I like singing. I am from Nanhai. My friend and I had a long holiday last month. We went on a trip. I went to Hangzhou with my parents by plane. We saw the West Lake(西湖）. John is my cousin. He is one year older than me. He went to Beijing by train. He visited the Great Wall（长城）. Alice is my pen pal（笔友）. She is from Canada. She is in Guangzhou now. She went to Hong Kong by bus. She ate good food and bought some clothes. Tim is Alice’s classmate. He is English. He went to Huangshan by plane. He climbed the mountains. Tim and Alice are one year younger than me. We are all in Grade 6 now. We are going to a new middle school in September. We will be in Grade 7（七年级）.

Christmas Day comes in winter. It is always on the same day every year. It's on December 25th. We always get up early on Christmas Day. When we get up, we find presents at the end of our beds. We open our presents in the morning. At noon, we have a big lunch at home. In the afternoon, we play games and have a good time. In the evening, we are usually very tired, so we go to bed at about nine o'clock.

Many years ago, my mother was a teacher. She was in a small school. All the children liked her. She was a good teacher. Now she doesn’t work. She likes children. She helps me and my friends with our homework. We love her very much.

My family lived in a big city. We had no garden, but I often went to a small park near my home. There were a lot of trees in the park. Early in spring, those trees got green. I liked to see all the green leaves. In summer, there were flowers everywhere. I often looked at picture books on a bench. In autumn, the leaves turned yellow and red. I often took a walk with my mum or dad. I also liked to have a walk after supper with my grandpa. He knew a lot of stories. Every time we had a walk, he told me a story. All of them were very interesting. When I was young, I had a good time there in the park.

What is the sky? Where is it? How high is it? What lies above? They are difficult to answer, aren’t they?

Is the sky blue? The sky has no color. Is the sky full of air? We know that there is air around the world. When planes fly, they need air to lift their wings. Planes cannot fly very high because when they go higher, the air gets thinner. If we go far enough from the earth, we find there is no air.

Perhaps we can answer some of our questions now. What is the sky? Nothing. Where is it? It is all around the world. The sky is space (空间). In this space there is nothing but the sun, the moon and all the stars.

Jack and John are twins. They are good at English. They like to swim and ride bikes in their holidays. They like to fly kites too. They often fly kites near the lake. But they not all the same .Jack likes playing football, but John likes playing ping-pong. Jack likes listening to music, but John likes drawing pictures. They often help each other.

   Lucy lives in the Xinyi Community. Yesterday she met Sara. She lives in this community, too. She moved to this community last week. Yesterday she wanted to go to the flower shop, but she didn’t know where it is. Lucy told her, “Turn left at the traffic lights and go down that street. There it is. And the flower shop is near here, you can walk.”
