My name is Mike. I am from Luoyang. My friends and I had a long holiday last month. We went on a trip. I went to Beijing with my parents by plane. We visited the Great Wall and the Tian’anmen Square. Alice went to Hangzhou by train. She visited the West Lake. The West Lake is very beautiful, and she took a lot of photos. John went to Hongkong by bus. He ate delicious food and bought some clothes. We all had a good time.

Fangfang went to Haikou from Dalian this morning, she went by plane. It’s so far, and she arrived at 6 p.m. Her uncle and cousin met her at the airport and went to their house by car. Haikou is beautiful but very hot. Fangfang wears trousers but now she wants to wear skirts. It’s the first time for Fangfang to see the sea, she wants to swim in the sea and eat seafood, and she also wants to drink the fresh coconut milk! How nice!

Last Sunday, Brave Dog invited (邀请) Lucky Dog to visit the Great Wall. They got on a bus at Tian'anmen Square. They arrived at Badaling at nine o'clock. There were many people. They began (开始) to climb (爬) the Great Wall. They took many pictures on their way. They climbed to the top of Badaling at twelve. Brave Dog told Lucky Dog, “If you can climb to the top, you are a true man.” Lucky Dog said, “So, I'm a true man!” Brave Dog laughed and said, “You aren't! You can only be a true dog!”

I'm Andy. I visited the Summer Palace (颐和园) with my friends last Saturday. We went there by car. There were beautiful flowers and green trees. I took lots of photos there. Amy and Lucy played cards under a tree. Lingling sang songs on the grass. Sam and Daming played football on the grass. After that, we had a picnic along a clean river. What a good day we had!

   London is the capital of Britain. Do you know the London Eye? It is one of the biggest wheels in the world. The height of the London Eye is 135 metres(米). The London Eye goes round and round. The people on the London Eye can see all the scenery(风景) of the whole London. In the evening,the London Eye looks like a blue ring.  It is so beautiful as well as the River Thames.

It is Saturday today. The children have no lessons at the weekend. There is a football match between China and Japan this afternoon. Zhang Hao is going to watch it with his brother. Now he is doing his homework. His mother says he must do his homework first. After lunch, they are going to have a rest and then go to Hong Xing Sports Hall. They are going to take bus No. 8 to get there.

   Zhang Lin, He Hai and Liu Hai went to Shankou River by car last Tuesday. It’s a good place. They saw many green plants near the river. There were twelve old and strong trees. They took a boat trip along the river. Then they stood on the boat and saw some fish in the river. The fish swam slowly. Liu Hai wanted to catch the fish. Zhang Lin said, “Stop! You can’t catch them.”

Last Saturday, our class had a trip. We went to the mountain near our city. That day, the weather was great. We started at 7:30. On the way, we talked and sang. Soon, we arrived (到达). Wow! It was really a wonderful mountain. We were happy. Then we went to the top. Then we has a rest (休息). I looked back. Oh, my friend Alice was far from me. She was very tired. I waited for her and asked her to follow me. At about eleven, we ate some food and drank some water. I felt the food was very great!

Many people like to travel by plane, because planes are fast. But I don’t like it. Because in the plane, you can’t open the window. You can’t choose (选择) the food.

I like travelling by train. I think trains are safe (安全的). When you’re late for a train, you can catch another one. You can open the windows and you can see many interesting things on your way.

I also like cars. You can start your journey when you want to. You can carry many things with you in a car. But sometimes there are too many cars on the road.

A Little boy

Tom is a little boy. He is six. Last Sunday his mother took him to visit his uncle. His uncle’s home is far from their home. So they went there by bus. There were only two people on the bus. Tom was very happy. He ran on the bus. His mother said, “Don’t run, Tom! Sit down.” But Tom said: “I want to see my uncle sooner, so I want the bus to go faster.”
