Birthday means party, dress, cakes, sweets, gifts and so on. A birthday party is a time 1． (have) a lot of fun and relax yourself. My birthday falls on O2． 18th.

On the morning of my birthday, I got all my family members’3． (wish). At school, I gave sweets to my classmates and teachers. All my classmates sang the birthday song for me. My friends gave me birthday gifts.

On the evening of my birthday, my parents 4． (hold) a birthday party which was fully decorated with flowers, colorful balloons, lamps and ribbons (丝带). Seeing all the things, I was surprised and excited.

I took off my school uniform and put 5． a new dress. I cut the cake while all others around me sang the birthday song. All the guests (客人) greeted 6． (I) with beautiful gifts. My parents bought me a computer as a gift.

We all enjoyed the party 7． celebrated my growth. We played many 8． (interest) games. The guests were served coffee and snacks. Then my friends and I sang songs and danced together 9． (happy). Everyone had dinner at around 10:00 p. m. and then the party was over. It was a wonderful party.

“What’s wrong, dear?” said Mrs. Smith to the little boy, Tom Blair, who had tears in his eyes.

“Why not?” said Mrs. Smith.
