Chen Gang is a teacher from a university.1． (he) son, Chen Li hao, is a university student. They reached the top of Mount Qomolang ma 2． April 30th, 2022. During their journey, they did scientific research and 3． (collect) many samples (样本) of ice, snow, plants and rocks. They were treated as 4． (hero) after they returned.

Have you ever picked strawberries yourself? They look nice, but a light pressure can make them out of shape so you have to be very careful when picking them. Nowadays there are many young students who are just like strawberries. They easily breakdown when they face difficulties. They don’t know what to do when they are in trouble. They have a common name-strawberry kids.

Why are many students so easy to break down? Parents are the main reason. Many students are the only child in their family. Parents do almost everything for them in their daily life. As a result, children depend on their parents too much.

Liu Yue, 13, is from Fujian. His mom hardly criticizes (批评) him and he always feels g good about himself. When a teacher criticized him strictly, he felt sad and began to doubt his ability. What he behaved (表现) made his teacher surprised.

Students should do something to make themselves mentally (精神上地) strong. An expert said, “When you are in trouble, don’t ask for help too quickly. You should try to deal with problems first by yourself. I also advise you to take an active part in sports and social activities. That can make you mentally strong.”

Growing up is not just a happy process. Difficult is a so go along with it. The most important thing is to face the difficulties bravely and learn from them.

Have you ever thought about what’s more important looking fashionable (时尚的) or feeling comfortable? You might have noticed many people choosing style over comfort and some even go to extremes (极端) to follow fashion. But we should remember: it’s more important to be healthy.

Some people believe that they need to be a cert in size to look good. So, they start extreme diets (日常饮食). They might note at meals or eat too little, which can make them feel sick. Is it a healthy way to live?

Also, many girls wear shoes with very high heels. They might think high heel make them look taller. But these shoes can actually hurt their feet and make it hard to walk comfortably, and it can increase risks of falls, Some even wear tight (紧的) clothes that make it hard to breathe. Should we put fashion over health?

Besides, some boys and girls spend much time and money changing their hair color. The material they use is usually harmful to their heath. To make their hair straight or curly, they also use tools that are hot enough to burn their hair. But using these tools too often can make the hair dry or even burnt. Is it really worth it to risk our health, spending so much time and money?

So, let’s rethink what’s really important. Is it fashion or our well-being? Clothes or hairstyles don’t tell us anything about a person’s character. Instead of spending much time choosing clothes, we could use that time to do fun things with friends. And instead of following extreme diets, let seat properly and exercise regularly. Remember, your worth is not decided by your appearance (外表), but by who you are as a person.

Project-based learning (项目化学习) is learning while doing. It gives learners the chance to get a deeper understanding of a topic (主题). During the learning, learners solve problems by using real-world examples and challenges. Let’s take the example of Sandra. Sandra is a 15-year-old student. She wanted to know more about Chinese ancient stories. Well, how did she make it?

Not everyone is a great test taker, but everyone is good at something. Through project work, students can not only learn deeply about a topic, but a so have fun learning. So if you’re interested in something, why not start with project-based learning?

I know that you get a little nervous talking in front of large groups—everybody does. But, just remember what you practiced and you just might forget about being nervous.

Here are just a few things to remember when you are giving a speech:

●Make eye contact (眼神交流) with your classmates.

●Speak clearly and slowly.

●Look at your notecards only when you have to.

●Enjoy yourself! Once you are in front of the class, pretend (假装) that you are a famous expert on your theme and everyone is listening carefully to your EVERY word.

Ariel rode her bike to Wildlife Refuge and planned to go walking and bird-watching. A mile into her walk. she noticed a swan (天鹅). Ariel worked at a wild bird rehab (康复) center ________ knew this kind of swans can be aggressive (攻击性的). But as she came near to this one, it didn’t _________.

She was certain that the ________ needed medical attention. Ariel covered her jacket over the bird’s head to keep it still and held it in her arms. Her best ________ was the rehab center.
