Welcome to Southwark School! When you go to a new school, it can be difficult for you to be happy. You worry (担心) about your subjects (科目). 1． You worry that no one can like you. But do not worry too much. Most of the time some people are friendly and some people are not. 2． These people often like you too.

3． Here’s what one student says: “My name is Helen. Amy and Sally are my best friends. Amy is my friend on my first day at school. 4． We’re 14 now! I like her because she is happy all the time and very friendly. Sally is quiet (文静的). However, she is just as good a friend as Amy. They are interested in the same things as me, and we listen to each other’s problems (问题). Amy likes to talk and Sally likes to listen. 5． So we help each other (互相) with our homework too!”
