I often drive on the road for my job and have seen a lot of accidents. One day, I was heading to a far-away town. I had to take a _________ road to get there. There were many high hills and a lot of sharp turnings. When I was going around a _________, I saw a car in my lane (车道) suddenly move into the other lane. It _________ the cars in the other lane to come to a sudden stop. In return, the cars behind them _________ as well. Still, some of the cars hit each other and caused accidents on the road.

After a while, things were almost cleaned up. All the cars drove away, and I was driving on the way, too. I thought there would be no more _________ ahead, but suddenly, I saw a big rock lying in the road. I thought I’d _________ it to stop similar accidents from happening again.

And just as I got out of my car to pick it up, I _________ a man on the other side of the road running to the rock. I watched him _________ the rock and put it in the bed of his truck. The _________ wasn’t in his lane and he still picked it up. He was just doing something for somebody else’s safety.
