Chinese actor Wu Xiubo has been named as the envoy (使者) for 2017 China-Australia Year of Tourism. It was announced by Steven Ciobo.

The China-Australia Year of Tourism celebrates the close relationship between the two countries. And 1.the Chinese market becomes more and more important for Australia’s tourism industry(旅游业). “This year we promise to bring Australia and China closer and offer more opportunities for further cooperation(合作).” said Ciobo. “China is Australia’s most valuable tourism market. Last year, about 1.2 million Chinese visited Australia.2.We believe this will grow during the China-Australia Year of Tourism and will continue to grow.”

Though China is a big country for the tourism industry, its product quality(质量), natural environment still should be improved. China can learn from Australia to become a strong tourism country through the cooperation with Australia.

3.The Chinese premier(总理), Li Keqiang, said the two countries respect each other, and China and Australia should continue to keep equal (平等的) in treating each other and learn from each other to achieve new results.
